Mission
The Legacy Project honors the achievements of pioneering women leaders. Donors establish named funds to invest in the future of women’s public leadership through the support of the path-breaking work of the Center for American Women and Politics.

Establishing a Named Fund
Each named Legacy Project Fund is established with a tax deductible endowment gift of $100,000 or more. Income generated by the Fund is dedicated to developing young women’s leadership, enhancing women’s effectiveness in public life, and supporting pioneering research about women’s political leadership. Donors and their families work with the Center for American Women and Politics to define their interests and specify the terms of each Fund.

Donor Acknowledgment
Each named Legacy Project Fund will be acknowledged in this special new section of CAWP’s award-winning web site. The Legacy Project will feature biographies and photographs of Fund namesakes. Each year, Legacy Project Funds will be acknowledged in printed materials and during public events. Legacy Project Funds will also be acknowledged by the Eagleton Institute of Politics and Rutgers University. Donors wishing to remain anonymous may choose to honor the work of an admired pioneer.
