Monday July 7, 2008 - Welcome Day
Arrive and get to know each other through introductory activities.
Tuesday July 8, 2008 - Women and Leadership Day
Learn the ABC’s of women and politics, go on a scavenger hunt, and meet our keynote speaker.
Wednesday July 9, 2008 - Shore Day
Have a day of fun “down the shore,” as New Jerseyans say.
Thursday July 10, 2008 International Day New York City
Visit the United Nations and then explore NYC.
Friday July 11, 2008 - Advocacy Day
Study an issue and frame arguments for one side; then present your case in the New Jersey Senate chambers!
Saturday July 12, 2008 - Women Making a Difference Day
Carry out a service project and discover the links between service and politics; then meet young women engaged in politics.
Sunday July 13, 2008 - Diversity Day
Participate in a lively and thought-provoking workshop about what we share and how we differ.
Monday July 14, 2008 - Constitution Day Philadelphia
Visit the Constitution Center and nearby historic sites before heading to Washington, DC.
Tuesday July 15 and Wednesday July 16, 2008 - Washington Highlights Days
Briefings on Capitol Hill and at the White House, and more! Stay tuned for exciting details about the political women we’ll meet and the sights we’ll see. Return to NJ on Wednesday evening.
Thursday July 17, 2008 - Looking Ahead Day
Wrap up the program with speakers, discussions, and forward-looking activities – plus traditional Girl Scout swaps.
Friday July 18, 2008 - Good Bye Day
Say good bye to your new friends and head home.
