Kamilah Keith
Kamilah Keith is a 2006 graduate of the Women's Leadership Institute at Auburn University. She is a native of Georgia and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with Business Emphasis and a Minor in Leadership from North Georgia College and State University (The Military College of Georgia) in Dahlonega, Georgia. Kamilah served six years honorably in the Marine Corps Reserve including a tour of duty in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004-2005. Kamilah's Marine Corps honors include the National Defense Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, the Marine Corps Reserve Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. Kamilah earned the rank of Corporal in the Marine Corps and is currently serving in the Individual Ready Reserve.
Kamilah was named a Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellow by the U.S. Department of State and Woodrow Wilson Foundation in 2008. She is currently pursuing graduate study at American University in Washington, D.C. in the Master of Arts program in Spanish and Latin American Studies. After completion of her Masters degree and the Pickering program, Kamilah will enter the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State as a Consular Officer. She hopes to make a career out of the Foreign Service.
