NEW Leadership Development Network (NLDN)

NEW Leadership is a tremendous program, with a proven track record of building women leaders.
     Governor Barbara Roberts
     Chair, NEW Leadership™ Oregon
       advisory board

The NEW Leadership™ Development Network is a national partnership dedicated to expanding political knowledge and participation among college women.

The Development Network is CAWP’s initiative to establish NEW Leadership™ programs  at colleges and universities across the United States.  Since 1999, CAWP has been working with educational institutions across the country to help them plan and initiate NEW Leadership™ programs on their home campuses.

The Development Network currently includes 21 colleges and universities serving women in 25 states.  To date, more than 3500 college women have participated in regional NEW Leadership™ programs.

Each year CAWP selects up to three schools to join the Development Network.  For more information on Development Network partners and bringing NEW LeadershipTM to your campus, see below.

From my own conversations with NEW Leadership participants I have learned first hand how this program inspires and empowers young women to enter public service. NEW Leadership reflects the values of… public service, the value of community and diversity, and the need to invest in the future leadership through education.
    David L. Boren
    President, University of Oklahoma
