Apply to NEW Leadership™ New Jersey
NEW Leadership™ New Jersey is scheduled for June 6 - 11, 2013 at the Eagleton Institute of Politics on the New Brunswick campus of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Application to this year's program is now closed.
CAWP is committed to including women from diverse socioeconomic, ethnic, racial and educational backgrounds in each NEW Leadership™ program. We strongly encourage women of color, nontraditional college women, and students majoring in fields outside political science to apply.
NEW Leadership™ is supported by donations from corporate sponsors and individuals that cover some of the program costs. Each participating college and university is asked to pay a $500 program fee per student, so there is no direct cost to students. Housing, food, and all program materials are provided for the full six days of the program.
Applicants are required to provide contact information for a faculty or staff member at their school who agrees to assist them in obtaining funding for the NEW Leadership™ program fee, should they be selected for the program. A limited number of scholarships will be available to students who are unable to obtain sponsorship from their schools.
NEW Leadership™ New Jersey participants are expected to attend all summer institute sessions and live in the residence halls during the entire program June 6 - 13, 2013. In completing this application, you acknowledge that you are aware of these requirements and agree, if accepted, to make every effort to meet this commitment.
For information contact: Sasha Patterson, NEW Leadership™ Program Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or 732-932-9384 ext. 248.
