Good Housekeeping Award for Women in Government and
Good Housekeeping/Wyeth Award for Women's Health
Each year from 1998 through 2005, Good Housekeeping magazine and the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) provided awards to honor women in government – elected or appointed officials, career civil servants, or members of the military – whose work exemplified how government improves people's lives. The top winner received an award of $25,000 and six other winners received $2,500.
Good Housekeeping/Wyeth Award for Women's Health
In addition to those awards, the Good Housekeeping/Wyeth Award for Women's Health carried an award of $25,000 for a woman in government whose work centers on women's health. This award will specifically highlighted a woman in government whose program or achievement advanced the status of women's health.
